2013 RESULTS
Dear Friends and Fellow Anglers:
I would first like to thank everyone for their continued support of the LAFM Tournament, and Casting for Recovery. Though off to a slow start, we rebounded nicely and had a total of 66 anglers registered and competing. The estimated cost for one attendee at a CFR retreat is $1,000. It's gratifying to know that our tournament has been able to offset some of these costs for each of the CFR-Texas 2 annual retreats.
Next year's event will also benefit Casting for Recovery. The date of the tournament will be Saturday, September 20th and will take place in the Port Aransas/Aransas Pass area again. Hopefully we will be able to reach our goal of 100 anglers, and bust the $10,000 mark. We have received some comments on possible changes to the format of the tournament, and are discussing them now. If you have suggestions on how we can improve the tournament then please let us know. We want to ensure that the format, divisions, prizes, etc. are the best they can be and that the tournament continues to grow every year. Please mark the September 20, 2014 date on your calendar
